Welcome to Kippax North Primary School. We are part of the Brigshaw Learning Partnership multi-academy trust. Kippax North is a successful, vibrant school with a well-earned reputation of excellence. Our ethos statement of “Digging deep, Aiming high!” runs through every aspect of our school culture and sets a tone of aspiration and determination for every member of our community, from our youngest pupils to our Local School Committee (LSC).
This statement is underpinned by our Aiming High values- individuality, kindness, pride, integrity, resilience and equality which drive us in a shared direction. Our pupils know them, understand what they look like in action and can describe how they help them to be successful.
We forge strong partnerships between home and school from the day a pupil enters our doors, so that each child is wrapped in supportive relationships. Together, our staff and governors are committed to growing independent, confident and successful young people who “Aim High” in all that they do.
We benefit from truly outstanding grounds and facilities, with football fields, ponds, wigwams, a cycle track, chicken coop, STEM lab, scrap shed, wind turbine and even a bird-watching hide! These are used to maximise experiences and lessons for children throughout the school day.
Our inclusive curriculum is designed to raise academic achievement, to engage and enthuse pupils and to ignite a life-long love for learning regardless of their individual starting points. We ensure our children are proud of their own background and culture, but are also inspired by the diversity of the wider world and all it can offer. As such, the curriculum sits alongside meaningful experiences; visits, visitors and extra-curricular clubs provide an enhanced understanding of the world beyond our school.
We hope you find our website useful and that it gives you a flavour of who we are. To arrange a visit in person, please contact the school office and we would be delighted to arrange this.
We look forward to meeting you,
Mrs Beth Burland
Headteacher
Integrity: We are open about our successes and areas for growth, and take responsibility to become better, every day.
Resilience: We give 100% effort, we don’t make excuses or give up when it’s hard, we know success is achieved incrementally.
Equality: We are one team with one goal. We know that together we are greater than the sum of our parts.
We “Aim High” by providing every pupil with love, structure and high expectations.
We “Aim High” for staff by delivering a carefully structured programme of high impact school improvement and continual professional development including "Deliberate Practice" and "Instructional Coaching.”
We deliver our “Aiming High” curriculum. This is knowledge rich and raises aspirations and builds cultural capital. Our curriculum is designed to ensure our children are proud of their own background and culture, but are also inspired by the wonder of the wider world and all it can offer.
We're proud to belong to the Brigshaw Partnership, working together with six other school, sharing our experiences, expertise and resources to provide exceptional education and opportunities in our community. The Brigshaw Values are:
We are one team with one goal, unapologetically ambitious for all in the belief that every child can achieve, regardless of their background or socio-economic status. We work with each other and for each other.
We give 100% effort. We don’t make excuses or give up when it’s hard, embracing challenges as opportunities for growth. We know success is achieved incrementally.
We are open about our successes and areas for growth and take responsibility to become better, every day.
